FBX scale wrong in Roblox?

FBX stores units as centimeters, so a Blender scene in meters can land in Studio 100x too big or 100x too small (under 0.02 studs, which reads as invisible). Export the FBX to GLB or OBJ, drop it here, and get back a Studio ZIP at the exact stud size you ask for.

1 stud = 0.28 m

Roblox measures in studs, exporters measure in meters or centimeters. Every mismatch shows up as a mesh that is 100x too big or invisible-small. This tool converts the file, not just the number.

Shape and texture survive

Uniform resizing leaves the proportions alone. UVs, normals, materials and face order pass through untouched, and the ZIP carries the texture so Studio maps it exactly as before.

Pivot fixed in the same pass

The export is normalized to a bottom-center pivot: base at Y = 0, centered on X/Z. The receipt reports the original offset so you can see what changed.

FBX scale questions

Why does FBX import at the wrong scale in Roblox?

FBX files store units as centimeters. When the exporter's unit handling disagrees with the tool you modeled in, Studio reads a number that is 100x off: a 2 meter door becomes 200 studs wide, or a 2 meter door becomes 0.02 studs and looks invisible. The file itself is fine, only the units are wrong.

Should I re-export from Blender or fix the units here?

Re-exporting with Apply Unit checked and a scale of 1.00 is the durable fix and worth doing. When you just need that one file usable now, convert it here: pick the target size in studs and download a Studio ZIP that imports at the right dimensions.

Can I upload FBX to this tool?

Not directly. The tool reads GLB and OBJ, so export the FBX to GLB (or OBJ) first. Most exporters take one extra click, and the GLB path keeps the embedded texture.

How do I check whether an FBX is 100x or 0.01x off?

Measure it: drop the file (as GLB or OBJ) into this tool or the free Mesh Checker and read the stud dimensions. Anything past about 1024 studs is too big by a factor of 100, anything under 0.02 studs is too small by the same factor.

Still diagnosing first? The Mesh Checker reports triangles, stud dimensions and pivot for any GLB or OBJ for free, and the wrong-scale guide covers the Blender export settings that cause most of this.
